Made my first hat that was not a beanie.
More Info
Made this hat from an old decommissioned USPS mail bag. It was my first time trying out this pattern. I wanted a work/bummin’ around hat that I wouldn’t have to worry about, & that wasn’t structured too much. Something I could fold up in my back pocket. I reinforced the bill with an old mousepad. It will hold shape, sort of, but still very foldable. I messed up the liner, and decided to lose it. One less thing to get dirty. I did put in a sweatband for comfort; my first time making & using proper bias tape (sweatband). I kinda dig the raw looking interior without the liner. I need to re-do the stitching holding the bill to the front of the hat, and fix a little part where the bill meets the body & the sweatband. I literally put this on when I finished it, and it’s been on ever since. A great fit that I’ll be making again.

That’s cool! I’d be happy to sport one if they ever come available.
Using the mail bag is genius! It looks so great!
